The Process
How the Independent Review Works
Four steps from purchase to written report. Every step is designed to give you independent judgment — not a sales pitch in disguise.
Submit Your Information
After purchase, you receive a secure intake link. Submit any combination of the following — you do not need all of them:
- Water test results (lab report, dealer test, municipal report)
- Water treatment quote or proposal from a dealer
- Photos of existing equipment, staining, or visible problems
- Description of the water problem you are experiencing
- Information about an existing system that is not performing
- Questions about a home purchase with a private well
No certified lab test? That's fine. If one is needed, we'll tell you exactly what panel to order and which certified laboratories serve your area — at no extra cost.
The Advisor Reviews the Evidence
Your materials are reviewed by a single experienced advisor — not an algorithm, not a call-center script, and not a salesperson who earns commission on what you buy.
The review covers water chemistry against regulatory benchmarks, treatment type and sizing appropriateness, equipment specification, proposal pricing relative to market, and what additional information — if any — is needed before a confident recommendation can be made.
"I am paid for advice, not for equipment sold."
We Talk for Approximately 30 Minutes
A scheduled consultation — by phone or video — walks through the findings, answers your specific questions, and gives you a chance to describe anything the written intake didn't capture.
You will leave the call knowing what your water situation actually is, whether any proposed treatment is appropriate, and what — if anything — you should do next.
You Receive Your Written Review
A written report — 6 to 12 pages — is delivered within 3 business days of your consultation. It includes:
- Water chemistry findings and analysis
- Evaluation of any dealer proposal or existing equipment
- Evidence grade: GREEN (confident), YELLOW (additional data needed), or RED (requires on-site or specialist evaluation)
- Treatment category and specification guidance
- What to do next — including any recommended additional testing or local evaluation
Followed by 30 days of email Q&A at no extra charge.
Situations This Service Is Designed For
You don't need a dramatic water crisis to benefit from independent review. These are the most common situations we see:
What This Service Does Not Do
Clearstance provides independent advisory review. The following are outside its scope:
- Does not perform laboratory testing
- Does not certify that drinking water is safe to consume
- Does not provide medical advice or diagnose health conditions
- Does not provide engineering certification or stamped drawings
- Does not certify plumbing, electrical, or code compliance
- May recommend additional laboratory testing
- May recommend local or on-site evaluation where remote review is insufficient
